Los Angeles, CA (WOW)
OK, so it took us a few weeks to catch up with the new NFL spokesperson, but once she heard about Packer ANAL-ysis, she was ALL IN! The beautiful SI Swimsuit cover girl admits to being a closet Packers fan, despite growing up in a California beach town.
"I'm a down to earth girl, so I really love those hicks from WI. Love the cheeseheads, the beer guts, the blaze orange in the stands, drinking beer in -10 degrees, it's all SSSSOOOOOO SEXY!"
Marissa makes several great points. Let's just see how she does on her picks. She has a big advantage over the earlier girls as the league is starting to separate just a little bit (even Trixi now knows to always pick against Buffalo Wild Wings, Jacksonsville,, and Chicago!), though the injuries can be a challenge (51 of 53 Packers are on the Injury Report this week, only Matt Flynn and Brett Goode are listed as probable), and there's only 13 games to pick this week (6 byes).
Anyway, here are Marissa's Picks/pix for Week 8:
Jets over Green Bay's 2 healthy players by at least 14
Miami over Cincinnati in a close shave, like me!
Dallas over Jacksonville in a game that will not even be shown in reruns
Washington over Detroit I think...
Kansas City Royals over Buffalo Wild Wings, ribs over wings any day of the week!
St. Louis over Carolina in a game that will be seen by hundreds, perhaps thousands
San Francisco over Denver because I grew up near San Fran, and we've got Coach Singletary (at least for one more game). Wonder how many Londoners are going to watch this crap?
San Diego over Tennessee because they have to
New England over Minnesota because Minnesota has Brent Farve, the worst 41-year old grandpa QB in the history of the NFL
Oakland over Seattle in just a God-awful game
Arizona over Tampon Bay in just a God-awfuller game
New Orleans at home on Halloween over Pittsburgh in another close shave
Indianapolis in a bigtime revenge win over the Houston Oilers/Astros/Cougars/etc
And 6 teams get byes this week, making my job even easier. I predict that none of the following teams will lose: Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago (maybe), Cleveland, NY Giants, and Philadelphia.
