New Orleans, LA (TRUE)
The depending Super Bowl champs have cut one of the all-time Packer greats, DeShawn Wynn (photo near left), thus making Wynn available to GM Ted Thompson again. But will the bold GM strike? Only time will tell I guess. But asked at home, casually dressed in a silk Packers hoodie and running tights, Thompson said he would take a look at things in the morning.
"Justin & I have a big night planned. After a nice meal of pasta & scallops, we've got Glee at 7:00 and Dancing with the Stars at 8:00. Then there's the hole (pun intended) Chilean miners' rescue thing over there on Fox News, and the hot tub is perfect at 103, just the way the big guy likes it, so we've got a lot going on here. I'll let you know more tomorrow."
If DeShawn Wynn is signed, he would instantly become the best Wynn on the team, surpassing the amazing TT drafted Jarius. Asked if there were other Wynns' he was pursuing, TT's pithy sense of humor shone through; "I suppose you can never have enough Wynns (pun intended)," he smiled. "We'll try going through the phone book again, maybe try Match.com, perhaps one of the other services."
When pressed about the posssible signing of Packer legend Samkon Gado (see photo far left), cut most recently by the Tennessee Titans, Ted said tersely, "no comment." So for all you Samkon Gado fans out there, and you know who you are, I took that to mean it's a definite possibility!
Closed Thompson, "if we do pick up one of these fine backs, a roster move will need to be made, and if it were up to me, it would either be QB Aaron Rodgers (Male model-California), or Charles Woodson (holder--not the one that holds for FG's, the one who grabs anything that runs in the area--University of Michigan). They're both playing like shit, and the salary cap benefits would be huge."
When reminded that it "was up to him (personnel decisions)," and that "this is an uncapped year," TT, swirling his glass of Rose' with his finger, sheepishly replied, "oh yeah, that's right. We'll probably know more in a few weeks or months."
Stay tuned for more riveting anal-ysis on this and other amazing developments, only here at Packer Anal-ysis, home of the discriminating (pun intended) Packers' fan.
Thx to spotter Bambi for some of this research, and for googling these two for the photos (she's very technical).
