2010 NFL Playoff Picture
By FanHouse Staff (guys who actually get paid to blog, the bastards! And look how freakin' boring they are. Without a little PA enhancement, this would be un-readable.
The 2010 NFL playoff race looks like it could go down to the wire in just about every division. And the wild-card berths in both the AFC and NFC are being just as hotly contested. As of right now, 27 of the league's 32 teams still had a chance to make the postseason, with 15 teams either in first place or within a game of first place in their respective divisions. (Yeah right, the Vikings are still alive. Who are these effing redards?)

To refresh your memory on the NFL's playoff structure: Six teams from each conference make the postseason, with the top four seeds reserved for the division winners. Two additional wild-card teams qualify from each conference, bringing the total number of playoff teams to 12. The top two teams, based on record, for each conference receive a bye in the first round, while the remaining division winners host the first round of playoff games. (And if you didn't know this, that would officially make you a redard. And/or a Vikings fan).
There are several possible tiebreakers that could come into play to determine playoff spots, beginning with head-to-head record. (And since we beat the Eagles, we need to tie the Eagles for a 1st round bye, 2 glorious weeks off in balmy Green Bay, then have the Eagles come up to the 'Beau for a little get together. If we have to go to Philly, a place that took us 50 years to win one, don't see how we could beat them twice in one season. Not with the dog killer running free on turf...) --PP
